So cozy...

This is officially my favorite time of year!! The crisp, cool weather has the makings for some very cozy evenings and mornings. I baked some chocolate hazelnut pastry last night that I enjoyed with a glass of milk. During the days I often find myself thinking about sleeping in -under mountains of soft, fuzzy blankets, with the warm glow of a candle flickering while the breeze sneaks thru the window...or curling up on the couch in pj's and new socks, with a fresh cup of tea, a movie in the player, and some yarn, knitting needles, and a new project. *Sigh*
On my dresser at home...I have this clear frame with a paisley heart I drew inside. I light the candles there...and it casts the shadow of the heart real big on my wall...so cozy!!

Also, here's a little knit scarf I completed last year at about this time...pretty colors!! I gave it as a gift, and I curled it up in this tin so at first it would look more like cookies than a scarf...then voila!! There's also matching seed beads in the tassles for a little extra flare :D

Hope you're finding ways to enjoy Fall and keep cozy!!

What a blast!!

Well, camping/hiking/ziplining/s'moresing was a blast!! Aside from some rain, and the persistant racoons...the trip was a total success. Check out the
ziplining site and if you can make plans to get a group together for the tour...it really is an experience!!

I didn't have my camera on me the whole time...so more pics to come when others get their photos posted...but for now...here's a few of pesky racoons, unafraid deer, changing leaves and the backwoods of our campsite, and our ziplining group :D

It's an Appalachian Ohio kinda weekend!!

I am spending this weekend in Appalachian Ohio. Specifically...we're going to romp thru my alma mater, Ohio University (go Bobcats!), and go camping at the Hocking Hills State Park. I've never been camping before...so I'm truly looking forward to it. Tonight will be spent making lots of treats for the trip, to include two versions of breakfast pizza, roasted red potatoes, and cinnamon streusel muffins. Of course, we're packing the fixins for s'mores...even novice campers like myself know you gotta pack s'mores!!

Tomorrow morning we'll be starting off this long weekend by swinging thru Athens Ohio and visiting some of my most favorite restaurants/coffee shops/and boutiques. I can't wait to get the huevos rancheros and specialty autumn drinks that I've been missing now for far too many years.

After basking in the nostalgia...it's off to a world-class zipline adventure. That's right!! Ziplining...in OHIO!! Check it out!! I can't wait.

After the full bellies, caffeinated drinks, and swinging suspensions...it'll be back down to earth for some good ole' fashioned wilderness fun. The Hocking Hills area is known for it's cliffs, caves, and waterfalls...so exploration shall be in order. Of course...the time in between all the excitement...we'll fill with more fun and excitement...

I'm pumped!! Have a great weekend all!!
Rasperries are one of my favorites!! However...one of these raspberries was not like the others...

Purposefully Paisley...for the non-linear person.

And here we go...a blog. But why?

I suppose it's because I so often find myself interested and inspired by what's around me...and well...what's not so around me. What happens to all the bits and pieces of inspiration that come into my life? I feel they are acknowledged momentarily, only to be pushed aside by another little bit, and then soon forgotten. I need a place to display what it is that keeps me ticking...whether it be last night's wonderful meal I shared with my love, or the love I have for all the creative possibilites that exist out there.

Purposefully Paisley...for the non-linear person, is entitled so not just because I love paisley, although that helped; but moreso, it's an analogy for the ever swirling and fascinating flow that is LIFE!! It's for myself, and for those of you who just can't refrain from taking notice to what's out there. It's for the person who fancies the fancy, who enjoys being in joy, and who operates under the premise that the most fulfilling way to get from point A to point B isn't necessarily a straight line.

And there we have it...a post. :D
